Day 7: Wed 17 Dec - Canberra

14-32 deg C, fine, sunny, and getting warmer

Ride G: 31km; total: 84km
Walk G: 4km; total: 38km
Walk W: 4km; total: 28km

Dad was admitted to hospital last night with an infection. After a quick breakfast, Greg drove Wendy and Tinkie to see him and he was still in ED awaiting admission. Tinkie and Suzanne visited him in the afternoon when he was slightly less confused and when Tinkie and Dale visited this evening, he was looking and sounding much better. We pray that this improvement continues.

Greg went for a ride to see Bob and had a cuppa and a piece of Noeleene's fantastic Christmas cake. Greg then rode home with Bob, without any cake for Wendy - 'not happy Jan!' After a bit of a catch up, Bob went home and we had lunch before having a nana nap. We were awoken by the bed delivery people - R&T are replacing their lovely King bed with two King Singles that move independently of each other - like Business Class on the top airline, but on steroids. It took the men a good 45 minutes to assemble the beds!

Then it was time for a pre-dinner drink. Dale arrived a short time later to take Tinkie to see Rob before she had a chance to dine. We had left over tuna pasta bake and a fresh (from Rob's garden) green salad.

The lovely Crimson rosella came to the feeding station

Scenery on Greg and Bob's ride

Went to Bob's the short way and came home the long way, all on Canberra's
amazing cycle paths!
