Walk G: 2km
Walk W: 4km
We were up at our usual QLD time of 5:30am (6:30am NSW), and after a coffee and some cereal, we were on the road by 7:15am (NSW). First stop was at Gilgandra for a toilet break and while we were at the Tourist Info Centre, we found a lovely café overlooking the Castlereagh River that had more sand and water. The coffee was up there with the best we've had and the staff were happy and engaging.
Onwards we travelled towards Dubbo then decided to take a new road to Molong via Obley, Yeoval and Cumnock, another new road for us. We certainly would not take the van on this road, but it was good to travel a new road; it was lumpy, bumpy and winding. It was not very busy being a minor road between the A39 and A32.
We stopped at Molong for lunch at Lime and Stone Cafe. We did not stop again until we reached our destination in Canberra. We unpacked the vehicle, then had a cuppa with Mum and Dad. The bikes were then unloaded and we made room in the garage for them. Our comfy, welcoming and loving home away from home for the next few weeks.
