After breakfast, we got dressed up to do a ride before meeting Bob and Noeleene at Bean Origin at Belconnen for mornos. We misjudged how long the ride would take so had to make a mad frantic dash from the Lake, through ANU, then up Belconnen Way. We have both done this route a number of times on non e-bikes, and today we really enjoyed the ride. Made it to the cafe about five mins after 10am, and B&N were there already. We sat outside and had a good catch-up for about 90 minutes. Back home for a nana nap. Greg decided he had not done enough riding today, so set off again and finished up with 72km, not a bad effort!
Most of the family (no Jojo) came over to Mum and Dad's for a BBQ dinner of garlic flavoured boerewors, steak, lamb chops, green salad, and roast veggies - potato, sweet potato, and carrot. Dessert was pavlova. No one went away hungry and it was a great night.
One of the many lovely ponds all around Canberra
It's hard to believe this is one a couple of km from the city centre. We suspect that there's no other National Capital which has wildlife and stock this close to the city centre.
