Day 24: Sat 3 Jan - Canberra to Mollymook, 206km

13-32 deg C, very windy afternoon

Walk G:
Walk W: 5km; total: 100km

After breakfast, we packed up our belongings, placed them in the car, attached the bikes and hit the road. James elected to ride with us so we had company. Stopped at Bungendore, initially for a wander but ended up finding a pie shop, so had to have lunch, a tad early, but welcome anyway. We continued on to Braidwood and were very thankful we had lunched at Bungendore as it was chaos and mayhem. Took us about seven minutes to drive the 500m through town! Then the real fun began, driving down the Kings Highway/Clyde, a very twisty-turny road. Because it is a Saturday, Canberran holiday makers were leaving the coast whilst others were trying to replace them. Most drivers were very well behaved, with only a few 'hoons'. We made it to our holiday home at Riley Street, Mollymook about 2:30pm. We arrived first, and had our stuff unpacked before the rest of the family arrived.

Once everyone had arrived and settled in to their respective rooms (6 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms), we had pre-dinner drinks. Greg went for a walk while that occurred. Dinner was spaghetti Bolognese, cooked by Samantha. It was jolly nice and filled the hungry bellies. A few more drinks were had with dinner, before showers and bed by 10pm.

Bye-bye Beebee and Pops, see you soon
