We were both awake about 4:30am, so hopped out of bed just before 5am. After coffees and packing the Cruiser, we were on the road at 6:20am. First stop was at Goomeri for a driver change. Kingaroy was next for a comfort break, coffee, and another change of drivers. Lunch was had at the Moonie Crossroads, where we changed drivers again. We refuelled at Goondiwindi because we knew it was 10c/l cheaper than in NSW, and changed drivers again. Our initial intention was to stay overnight at Gundy however, it was only 2pm so we thought Moree would be a good place to stop. When looking at Booking.com for suitable lodgings, prices were very cheap, and as it was still only 3pm (4pm NSW time) we decided to keep going until Narrabri (we did stop for a brief leg stretch and another change of drivers).
The first place we checked out didn't look quite right, so we did a U-turn and headed for a place we had seen on the way. Wendy checked Booking.com and got a price, then checked in at the office and got the same price. We are staying at the Nandewar Motor Inn in room #19. This place seems to be a favourite for a lot of tradies, so it must be ok??!
After getting our overnight stuff into the room and unpacking the essentials, we had dinner that was leftover from lunch - chicken and salad wrap, with a glass or two of Shiraz (zero alc for Greg).
About a week ago, we picked up an e-bike compatible rack for the back of the Cruiser. We had tested it with only one bike before we left and it seemed a bit wobbly. With two bikes on, it was much more stable and we are happy with the performance.
Only another 680km odd to go tomorrow.

QLD roads were not worth photographing, but the NSW ones were, despite the minor repairs, the roads were smooth as, compared to those in QLD
